TRANSLATIONS with apostille
Are you a multinational business or individual who needs a notarised and/or certified translation for submission to an official body in Switzerland or internationally? Let Excelcis streamline the entire process of translation, certification and legalisation of your corporate or personal documents.
Notarised translations intended for use abroad typically require an international apostille (a stamped official certificate that legalises it). This is a requirement in all countries that are signatories to the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCL), a convention ratified, to date, by 82 contracting states and the European Union. These countries are shown on the world map below, and you can find a comprehensive and up-to-date list of them here.

translations for COUNTRIES NOT PARTY TO the hcCL
To legalise a translation for use in a country that hasn’t ratified the HCCL, you’ll need to follow a supplementary, and more involved, legal process. In Switzerland, this is typically done by the canton’s State chancellery and, in some instances, also by the Federal chancellery and, then, the diplomatic representation of the country where the translation will be used. We offer you a full service for these types of legalised translation too.
Both legalisation options, international apostille or country-specific, are explained further in the diagram below.
