ELECTRONIC AND PRINT PUBLISHING
One report, three suppliers, three handovers
Institutional publications usually pass through an editor, a translator and a designer. Every handover is a Word file.
Translated French runs longer than the English and breaks the page. Arabic needs the whole layout mirrored. Corrections agreed at proof stage reach one language and not the others, and someone has to check six files that nobody owns.
Excelcis takes the document through the whole chain — or joins it at the point where you need help.
HOW WE WORK
Three ways clients work with us
From manuscript to publication. You send the text in Word. We handle the graphic design and typesetting in InDesign and deliver the publication print-ready — annual and institutional reports, brochures, infographics and large-format visuals, for print or for screen.
From an existing design into other languages. You send your InDesign package. We translate and typeset the language versions, matching the original design.
Editorial only. Reports drafted in English, or in any other language, by non-native authors, edited until they read as written in their original language— structure, register and consistency, not only grammar. With translation afterwards if you need it.
LANGUAGES AND SCRIPTS
Typesetting in over 25 languages
We typeset in the six official languages of the United Nations — Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish — and in over 25 languages in total, including German, Italian and Portuguese.
That includes right-to-left composition for Arabic and CJK composition for Chinese, produced in InDesign rather than rebuilt by hand.
FILE FORMATS
We work in your files, not around them
InDesign, Illustrator and InCopy, among other formats. Text is edited and translated inside the document it belongs to, not in a parallel text file that somebody has to pour back in later.
The same applies beyond print: we translate websites directly in WordPress, so the translated content arrives already in place, with its structure, links and metadata intact.
That removes the re-typesetting stage, and with it the errors that stage introduces.
Documents are handled under confidentiality and stored on Swiss servers.
DOCUMENT CERTIFICATION
If the finished document also has to be accepted by an authority — a court, a registry office, a university — we can issue it as a certified translation, typeset and certified in a single process.
